What are some heavy pressure plates that are not as heavy as act?

I've had two Daiken/Exedy heavy duty clutch kits and they are excellent, pressure plate is pink and has about 30% more clamping pressure, never had any slippage with mine, excellent value as well.

I'm using kupp stage 3 in my turbo GTi. So far so good at 15psi.
It has a good price on ebay.

The only issue we encountered while installing the kit was that the center of the clutch was a bit thick and the fingers on the plate were touching the center. But I think the problem was on my side cause of a misalignment on the clutch cable to the adjustment arm on the gearbox. We did grind the center of the clutch down near the springs.

On my NA GTI I'm using stock clutch plate and stock M15a pressure plate. So far so good with a lot of revs.

Have you had an ACT yet? Or are you saying it's too heavy because of reviews?

I only ask because I put 30k miles on one and didn't mind it a bit but opinions can vary......

i have found that a clutch pedal that feels heavy can be a misalignment of the angle on the actuating arm at the end of the cable, a frayed clutch cable, or a dry clutch cable more than the mechanical advantage of the pressure plate.
