Hey all, can someone list, or point me to a list, brief, etc, to identify the parts needed to be pulled from a GTi for retrofitting rear disc brakes onto a vert? I've found a donor, but I'm not local to it, so I need to tell a puller what to grab.

thx,

brad

The knuckle an everything bolted to it and the brake line from the caliper back to the frame.

You'll need the emergency brake cables too.

T3 You may be right, I installed a turbo from a Firefly in my vert (Vanilla Latte) and the original proportionning valve works great.
All wheels brake nice. I do have the valve from the GT in case. But for the past 4 years (summers), the braking is a delight.
Of course I handle Vanilla properly.

frederick, i have also run the proportioning valve from a vert on the gt brake conversion. braking is good that way although i prefer the gt proportioning valve. the front end dives less under extreme braking.

also, you can actually adjust any of the proportioning valves to any percentage you like. they all seem to be the same unit, just adjusted differently and badged with a different color and part number sticker.

pull the stamped steel cover off and you will see the stem and lock nut.
