This is my attempt at putting a 1998 Dodge Neon Center console in my Vert.
Its still not done i spent 4 hrs on it today.I think i have 1 maybe 2 hrs to go.This is the wifes car so i better get it right or i will be forced to take full ownership of it.Would that be so bad

The only obstacle is the hand break does not go all the way down. its not dragging but the light for the hand break stays on.
i can not cut the console down any more so the light my just get disabled.

You could try shimming the E-Brake up with some flat washers until the handle goes down enough to put the light out? :D :D

I like the console must look into that one day for my GTi
One day I may find a vert I like, and collect it!

It is too clean and rustfree to even consider driving it in the winter soooo that leaves some time for "tinkering". It has already had swaybars installed front and rear. I have a set of lowering springs to go in with kyb's. The head is coming off soon for a little "massage" along with a cam. I will keep an eye out for a decent set of wheels while I burn off the new 175/70-13's that it came with.

For the time being my focus will be on econo oriented mods to help me with my 125mile/day commute but even the econo oriented mods will help the performance, you just have to have enough restraint to keep a light right foot to gain the gas saving benefits.

I'm sure I will be on here often looking for devilish changes to make.

You are right, a Vert that clean must have been Summer driven only. Great car, Great colour.....I'd ditch the side stripes. Happy Top Down Days!!!!! :D :D

Ps: A set of 15" Rota 8 Spokes would look Terrific (Saab 4 bolt pattern fit) I'm going to Pick & Pull to pull a set of 4 for $100.00 in silver for my Blue Vert.

larry, i had a set of those wheels in the special carroll shelby edition, 1/2" wider, the spokes finished in black and silver hammer tone, and the lips polished on a saab spg.

those are great wheels.

To be honest, I am not really fussed with the color but the car was so clean and obviously well looked after that I could not pass it by. As far as the stripes go, I am old enough to not care about the "chick car" thing.

I think the Rota 8 spokes are just excellent and to get a full set for $100 has to be a gift. Here the wreckers want $50 ea for steelies! Do you know if the Rota's are available in a 14"? They appear to be a rough copy of the magnesium Minilights I used to have on my race Mini. (The old "real" Mini.)

They are of the Minilite style but Rota's are Made in Germany they probably do make them in 14". I have found that 15" tires are easier to come by I have 195/55/15" Michelin's on my white Vert and they work well. I think I'll go with a set of 195/45/15" Nexen N3000's. So you raced a Mini Cooper S, I had a few 1275's back in the day a lot of fun to drive. :D :D
