The aren't anything special are they? M6 x 1.0 thread in whatever length needed. Should be able to match them up at a local hardware or autoparts place.

Many Suzuki engines use same bolts , Metro , Vitara come to mind . Plenty of them in the junkyards. Thats what I did when I couldnt find mine

Could you share that way of making them work , other then line boring them with the cylinder head .I just stuck ones that I have on the cylinder head and they seem to be doing OK . Just had 200 mile oil change after the rebuild and didn't see any metal flakes in the oil whatsoever

Open up the holes that fit over the dowels, or in severe cases remove the dowels, then check if they center over the bottom part of the journal.

For what it's worth, the newer aveo 1.6 engines don't have aligning dowels and they seem to work fine and never have any significant wear up there on the head or cap. Obviously dowels add that certain level of precision alignment, but it does appear that it's one of those things that works without, as the aveo heads have shown. Very similar setup, cap size, bolts, lifter style etc.
