I'm thinking about having a Suzuki meet here in Texas. Let make a roll call of who's interested and ur location. I'll try to make it a central location so driving there would be easy for everyone. I'm located in Houston. Please post year, make, model and ur location. Thanks

LOL. I'm even later.

Any I'd be down. As long as it's not cold out. She runs like carp in the cold.

I could bring the slow kart out for a meet. Name a place?

She ain't pretty, but she's got over 550,000 on her.

LAte on the reply, but I am in.
Depends on what date you have in mind.
If it is the same weekend as the So-Cal rally or Geopalooza
I won't be able to come.

All So Cal meet participants drive well over 100 miles to be there every year for past 5 years (few of us even longer then that). Some of us even more then 1000 miles. That shows you who is enthusiast and who is passer by - only if its convenient- I drive it because I have to Swift owner. :-P

We can do this meet fo import face off october /4/15,that should give you plenty of time to get your car cleaned. It's fun event its in baytown texas not far from Houston . And we can join the show with several swifts. Plus if you are building a race car for 1/4 mile. You can race it. Or drink a beer and just watch. You can dyno your car. Or sound system.

I would not mind to race. But my swift is not even close to the cars they take over here.

neither is mine. I just race in the test and tune category. then its more about making your time faster. I beat a cobalt SS last time we went. that made me happy. but in his defense they were still tuning the car, and he finally got his time way faster then mine.

When and where? I think the Swift will perform better in other Type of car sports than, "drag racing". Specially here in the U.S where Going fast in a straight line means all to the average motor head. Only real car enthusiast will appreciate other type of motor sport.

After we put the new crankshaft in my Swift, I took it to an Autocross race the next day. We were the least horsepower car there, and we won first place with only 4 runs under our belt. Other cars had way more runs than us. It was an awesome feeling, especially since everyone laughed at my Swift.

Next race is coming up in a couple weeks. Mostly subarus but its super grassroots style with a great group of friendly people, everyone is there to have fun and hang out and beat the tar out of their cars.

This next one is a two day event where you can camp, and is just down the road from my house if we need to tinker and fix some things.

when i ran the local autocross competitions sponsored by the miata club i was asked to retire my gt-ized vert, a white one. the guys who brought their trailered, purpose built autocross cars, corvettes and porsches, couldn't handle my throw away, beer can car smoking their lap times and when they saw my suzuki they just left their cars on their trailers. :-P

they came up with some silly shit about my vert not having a roll bar, about my tires during the tech check-in, and my suspension set up.

i heard the miata guys mumbling about what they needed to do to "beat the geo." made me proud. :ez_pimp:

stuff a twincam into a metro and you will be invincible in rallycross.

I have never down graded my car to shit box, now if you are talking about a ford tempo that from conception was a get around econo box, Then i would say differently. But the G13b has been in competition sense the 80's. How dare you. :furious:

Haha no its a shit box because of the condition of the body not the drive train. Person who had it before definitely used it as a city car, dents dings and bad paint everywhere. Its so gross looking in person but drives awesome.
