I"e been fighting a spike in my water temp when I stop at multiple traffic lights of long drive though lines. I have replaced everything in my cooling system - even some upgrades. Walked by a Jeep the other day as saw he had installed a "hood vent panel". I liked the look and it would cover the odd shaped holes one would have to cut in the hood while maintaining the reinforcement sections. Anyone ever added any louvers to their hood

i replace my worn out radiators with the chinese fabricated dual core aluminum jobs with a new 1800 cfm 12" pancake fan. i guarantee that you won't overheat with that gear!

i'd be inclined to think that you have something going on there. i used to run a turbo3 with the little single core oem radiator without any problems on the hottest days we have in ohio, 90+. i have also run the single core radiators on twincam conversions as a temporary deal without any problems.

i lived in florida for about 3 years so i know that you aren't really even close to the hottest months. i recall july and august as being barn burners down there.

Couple of years back I ordered a "standard" replacement radiator and got an all aluminum single core one. Picked up a 12" 1730cfm fan off Ebay few months back, recently dropped in a 190 thermo - new pump with a rebuild 2 years back. Stumped and planning to put my ac back together soon and that isn't going to make the engine compartment any cooler. Doesn't seem to be anyone in the Orlando area punching louvers - actually like the look - the research looks like they should drop the engine compartment around 20 degrees.

Change out you radiator cap. Most people will change everything in their cooling system and never change the cap.

That little cap does more than you realize.

Swapped that out and thermo fan switch.

the only real danger for using that in florida is the corrosive nature of "love bug" guts. you have to flush them out of the fins every day.
