looking for a windshield new or used for 87 chev sprint. Also a left front door for 4 door sprint,, thanks, Phil

You may want to post this in the wanted section. '87 and '88 are the only years that will work for you. The windshield is probably only available new through your local glass dealer. Good luck finding a used one. You may have better luck finding a door.

At this stage in the life of your car, you may just want to keep an eye out for whole cars for sale near you and pull parts off that you need or may need in the future, then scrap the rest. At 27 years old they are no longer an econo box and even the wreckers don't keep them on their lot very long. They are a project that will cost money to make right but will still pay back in savings in gas and parts to maintain over the long run. The cost of a used windshield to buy and ship, if you can find one, will probably outweigh the cost of the glass company to get you a new one if they are still available.

If you haven't been hit up for an inspection, don't waste your money for a windshield. Just keep an eye open to something for sale near you that has the parts you need and strip away.

I had a perfect windshield on my 1988 firefly automatic but when I was banging a chick on the passenger seat one night I put my hand behind me to push against something and I heard a crack and when I checked in the daylight the next day I saw a serious multi-fracture crack in the windshield. Those windshields are very light and flimsy.
