I don't know if this was just my first impression or if others felt the same way, but when I first took the air filter off of my '87 sprint I had no idea what I was looking at. I got this image in my head of the designers of the carburetor when I looked at it; a room full of little Asian versions of Gandalf laughing their asses off at the thought of a guy like me trying to figure out what all the vacuum tubes do. I'm hoping there's someone who can give me a crash course on this carb, as well as some idea of just how this is computer controlled? It seems like a lot of them end up in sensors of some sort, but what are they doing? I want in the mpg club, but right now I've really got no point of reference with this thing.
