Ok I bought these today from a friend locally.



They are GSXR1000 k2 itbs. I want to do something similar to this: http://www.redlinegti.com/forum/viewtop ... =7&t=48795
The ecu used on those itbs was an EMS stinger (expensive!) so a better alternative would be megasquirt.

Does anyone know if the megasquirt can run itbs withouth the MAF sensor?
Standalone is whole new terretory for me but I want to try and make it work.

I don't know crap about MS, but I know you can do that,

You mean a cheaper alternative! definitely not better.

My Microtech runs predominantly in TPS mode with my quad setup.

I looked it up. I think the megasquirt can do it. It will rely on the intake air temperature (iat sensor) and air pressure (map sensor).
I also read something about alpha-n mode in megasquirt. In this mode the ecu wil rely on the iat, rpm and tps.

megasquirt runs pretty much anything.

usualy, MS uses a MAP sensor for fueling. i.e. speed density.
but for ITB's, the low end is hard to tune cus the funky vaccum signal, so MS support alpha N, throttle and RPM.

rumor has it, there is a flavor of MS that runs in alpha N's with input from the MAP at higher revs. </rumor>

with alhpa n's expect lots of tune time, the ECU is in stupid stupid mode. it just works off a table, so you dont want the 1.0 version of MS, the 8x8 table.
im building an alhpa n EFI ECU, and im going with a 11x16 table, well see how it turns out.
