Im collecting parts for a new n/a engine which is gona need a larger set of itb as the others I made just wont give enough air for the power figures im hoping for
So far iv sourced a very cheap set of busa itb, complete with air box and rubber conectors, the flange il be using is one of striders very nice flanges, http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/11473969@N02/9630700248/
I think its the best flange you can get if your looking to do this sort of setup

How do you determine the flow rate needed . In other words comparing the busa head flow with the G13b. has any one done a comparison as far putting them on a bench. :?:

 I havnt determined any flow rates, the itbs I have now are 36mm dia which will be fine for a well built engine but iv recently met a race engine builder quite local to me, I bought some parts off him for this new engine ( this will be my 3rd built engine) and it just happens that hes raced mk1/2 gtis for years and built the engines for them so im just going from his advice atm, the 36 wont be enough for say 170 hp@ 9k, which are the sort of numbers im hoping for, so I found the biggest bike itb I could, I dont want to get carried away by claiming il get those sort of figures but with a bit of his help and knowhow (his best gti engine is a 1.5 g13b putting out nearly 200 hp! and he worked at hart engines (f1) in the 80s and for nissan in btcc) im hoping to get close
But I doubt this engine will be finished for years as it going to be very expencive!
Good things come to those who wait

Hi,

Who is your engine builder?
I may have spare set of ITBs off bike with 38/40mm. Let me look into it.
If you want, I will send a set down to you. Bill Falkners engine is good for 180-ish.
I will be interested to know as I got +.5 Cultus off you, so I can use to make NA if I get bored as well.
Cheers
Atchi

Hi atchi, his name is jason, he runs hellier performance in salisbury, I will be building the engine but il defo be getting them to do all the machining work etc
I already have the itb on-route, hiyabusa 99-07, complete set, only $150 shipped on us ebay, agter 08 the came as 2 pairs of bodies so if I have to mod to get the spacing right it will be easy
On another note did jerry ever make some of those special cyl heads?
