Hello,

This is my 1st post here...I found this forum from this website -

http://www.occracing.com/

They claim to sell a copper head gasket for the Samurai as listed on this page -

http://www.occracing.com/pricing.htm

CGAS-100 Copper head gasket (sizes available)
0.032", 0.043", 0.050", 0.062", 0.080", or 0.090" PRICED EACH $125.00

Does anyone have any pros/cons to running a copper head gasket?

I'm in the process of rebuilding my g13 and was thinking about using a copper head gasket...

Anyone with any info would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!!

it's a reusable gasket that wont be blown easely with high compression.
I would use one if the price would be right.

I tried them on my hi compression G10 engine. It kept blowning right away. I have used them on HiComp V8s. And they worked great. But the torque specs on the G10 are 55 ft/lbs. I also tried several different techniques to install them. Still no good. I got mine from Innovative Machine in St. Louis. Mo About the same price

With a copper headgasket you have to Wills Ring the head and block, so when the copper is compressed it fills the two small grooves (1 head, 1 block) on each cylinder.
Have you thought of using genuine Suzuki items as they are multi layer steel (such as Cometic etc), I'm running 12.1:1 compression on a 77mm bore (1362cc), I used a genuine Vitara MLS headgasket held down with ARP studs and nuts and have had no problems with it at all.

I run copper gaskets ...The only thing I need to use is a hi temp sealant like coppercoat or graphite grease and that`s all.
