Does anyone have any information they can share on the Aisin carburetor that some Mk1 models had? I found one in great shape and am thinking about swapping out my Hitachi because I'm having so many problems with it. Has anyone attempted this swap before? Anyone have an exploded diagram?

Hitachi carbs are easy.
Have you read the manual first?
You can read mine free here:

After you read the manual, if you are still having problems, maybe I can help.

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!
