So I have my motor out of my 88 sprint and its torn down Now I need to find internals. I would like to find some oversized pistons and some rods. What I really need that I can't find is a thick copper head gasket. Any listing you could help me find would be great.

I had Ross Racing Pistons make me a .040 over set. My last build they made me a .020 over set too. They were around $600 a set of four with rings IIRC. You have to have four made. Turn around was about 3 weeks. You have to send them an old one to base the new ones off of.

You won't find a copper head gasket for an MK1 G10 head. Ask me how I know this. :p

However, please DO forget about using the "non turbo" Felpro replacement junk. Apparently the "turbo" version is not available so they sell you the non turbo gasket instead. I put one of these in my Turbo Sprint and quite literally, 6 months later it washed out and I was watching all the pretty steam trailing behind me in my rear view mirror. I have a pic of the actual head gasket washout if you would like to see it.

I did a lot of research into a replacement and while a copper crush gasket would be great, I found this is the best head gasket currently available.

It's called "Marks NO BLO Headgasket" Mark is in Galena Kansas and his telephone # is 1.620.783.5338.

I am not affiliated with him, just a customer. I compared Marks headgasket to the Felpro I have, and quite frankly there is no comparision. The holes in Marks gasket are more appropriate for the Turbo engine. Also the seals around the piston holes on the gasket are some type of mylar material, that sets and hardens like a rock after the engine is heated up a few times. I seriously doubt anything is ever going to wash that out. Probably the last head gasket you will buy. If this gasket doesn't work, try welding the head directly to the block instead. But of course it will work.
