Hi All,

I am trying to set up the Suzuki SOHC G13bb with the Haltech PS 1000 Dizzy setup.

Initially made all the necessary wiring to connect the PS1000, after 3 days of work on the wiring we were successful with all the anlog inputs and digital outputs.

The work took place in India Bangalore, a close friend who really worked hard to make all wiring functional and the sockets used for connections were all pulled out from the OEM harness.

After 3 days of hard work the car was ready to crank with all the presets, unfortunately the cam trigger pulse from the dizzy received to haltech PS1000 was not supported.

The dizzy was disassembled and re-engineered with the reluctor wheel to get the correct pulse.
(The standar dizzy on the G13bb in India is 4+1 reluctor wheel)

Finally the relcutor wheel was back from the machine shop and assembled all the parts back into the the dizzy.

Trigger type had to be selected and tried with all possible to match signal from dizzy, we were not successful.

Finally had to choose standard no home option and made all tweaks in the numbers and cranked the engine.

Engine cranked, started with a very rough idle which was not sounding right, we had to look into all possible areas to check where things were incorrect.

My friend spent lot of time refining numbers on PS1000, car performing better than before with smooth idle, still we were not happy as we could feel there is something wrong.

Checked the ignition timing at crank, it was evident timing is not correct because when there increase in throttle there was almost close to 4 deg retard with timing at crank.

Next day started root causing all the issues and tried to use different trigger tpye which was set to multi tooth option with variable trigger option to set the timing across all the RPM range.

Now the car is responding better still not satisfied with the dizzy setup since the timing is erratic at high RPM, we are looking forward to use Suzuki Baleno G16B Trigger wheel (36-2-2-2) at crank and run semi sequential and wasted spark setup.

Looking for some help from the fellow Suzuki owners using haltech ps100 on their Suzuki G16B

I would like to know the presets used when a G16B trigger wheel is installed

Trigger Type = ?
Trigger Angle = ?
Trigger Offset =?
Trigger Threshold Voltage =?

I would request for some feedback at the earliest to help us get the problem resolved, before moving to Individual coils we would like to to try wasted spark.

After all the drama the Haltech PS1000 was successfully installed.

The installation of a custom crank trigger wheel, which fixed all the issues we had also re-engineering the dizzy to have the right home signal since the Maruti Suzuki Dizzy has 5 teeth and is not supported directly on the Haltech.

Once all this was reworked the car is up running and thank to my closest pals Joe and Venkat who made this happen when I was back in Germany, discussing over call and working on the vehicle setup was real challenge.
