I am going a new route with this supercharger setup. I am going with a microsquirt 3 ECM due to its ability to be water proof ,all GM sensors (3 bar MAP ,IAT ,ECT, ) a 36-1 trigger wheel , ARP head and main studs , AEM O2 controller , 45mm throttle body and injectors in each port. Last summer I got the boost up to 20lbs and it screamed , but I had no control of any of the timing and fuel curves . It lived with the POT mod but I just didng feel comfortable , so I decided to us the MS ECM and the ARP studs for the added insurance that it will run and perform better and longer.

Been awhile but finally have it running on the Microsquirt with the direct injection and the supercharger. It was way easier than I had expected .I used the ms extra code for a Daihatsu 3 cylinder and used the distributor that had a 3+1 tooth pick up and the stock vr sensor. It started instantly and ran smooth once it got up to temperature. I did not use a trigger wheel just the Daihatsu spark code.

And can you please give us more information about your distributor? It's very simple to use that distributor than creating the mount for trigger wheel.

Its a stock suzuki distributor I had from a pallet of metro/ suzuki engines i bought . i have no idea what year it is off of, just know when I read the MS extra code and remembered that I had seen one in the pile , that it works.

Interesting... You just built MS to accept Daithatsu's 3 cylinders spark code system?

I just recalled that mk2/mk3 doesn't have that kind of tooth... I guess only from MK4/5k one because of ODB2 system? Honestly I don't know much about MK4/5 ODB2 as I need to research the FSM.

Thanks for the picture. And yes I did the daihatsu MS code and it worked....Fired right up and ran .After the autotune was activated on the laptop .... it ran instantly better and even idled without help from me blipping the throttle.
This is out of the MS manual:
6.24 Daihatsu 3cyl
Known applications include:
• Some 3 cylinder Daihatsu
This mode is considered experimental. The Daihatsu three cylinder version has 3 equally spaced
teeth in a distributor with a fourth tooth adjacent to one of the teeth (3+1) and a VR sensor.
An external ignitor will be required.

I used a MSD street fire ignition box after the MS and ...well ...it worked!! I have read about the Daihatsu code and no one has used it with success , trust me it works. Red from dist to white Ms and white from dist to red MS, if its backwards it wont run !!

I had to remedy another problem , my lifters would pump up solid til the engine would not run. No compression at all in all cylinders. I changed to a new set of lifters and the same thing happened. I read that too much oil pressure would do that , and I used a stock aisin oil pump with the engine build. I disasembled the lifters and used 10mm valve shims which fit perfect into the
lifter plunger bore making them solid. I was not sure what the outcome would be , but i tried it anyways . I used this kit ProX Racing Parts 29.VSA1000 10.00mm Size 1.85mm-3.20mm Thick Valve Shim Kit. I shimmed the plunger to .02 cam to lifter clearance and engine runs awesome , better than it has since first starting it. I can spin
the engine to 11000 rpms ,although i will not run it that high. the blower max speed is 16000 and im overdriven right now 1.5 to 1. My final drive gears came in from Suzuki RD that i ordered back in Feburary , I got the 4.92 , so out comes the trans for the install . Im at the end of this project finally , a few more things to finish up and off it goes to the tuner to set the ECU up and get a power output from the dyno .

I've just replaced the oil pump on my Supercharged 3 cyl G10 993 because the built in pressure relief valve was sticking.

I saw 100 psi plus on the gauge before the oil filter canister pumped up and the base permanently distorted, such that the O ring blew out and the engine oil pumped out in seconds.

Interestingly, the engine was spitting back into the inlet manifold that morning. I think it's very likely that at least one of the hydraulic lifters was pumped up too far because of the high oil pressure.
