I couldn't resist. I'm gonna try and do a turbo conversion on the metro GTi.
With the experience from my '89 gti turbo, I'm gonna try and do this as cheap as possible.
This is the car.

Turbo will be a TD04HL-15G. It's from a volvo. The inlet flange on the turbine side is strange; it's a modified T3.
The turbo also has a built in BOV, which should come in handy later.

After a few research on this turbo, the "H" in the TD04HL stands for high flow. Which means the turbine side is a bit bigger. I see the last number on the housing as a "7". I think that's the 7cm2. Whereas on the td04l-13t on my gti it has a 6cm2 exhaust side.
I'm gonna try and rebuild the turbo also.

Turbo exhaust manifold will be homemade by a friend.

Started already taking out the AC stuff and making room for the intercooler.



The bumper grill is cut out. I also took a bit from the bumper from the inside to make room for the intercooler between the lower chassis bar and bumper. I think I took 1.5" off.



Intercooler has an inlet / outlet of 2". Really cheap on ebay. (CXracing)
