Good morning all,

Been a long time here as I have gone from g10 to DOHC MS2+turbo.

However, my 91 vert needed overhaul and I noticed the check valve in the block is loose, not "fixed" into place. Is this normal? It concerns me as I had one migrate into the head of my 94, lodge sideways and restrict the oil so the cam seized. What is the proper way to install these? I have all the manuals but this is not addressed. In all the years, never been stumped like this. I don't want to risk seizing Mikes cam in there!

It really does just sit in there, no seal or oring. It can't move once head is on. So you don't need to worry.
The reason they get lost or misplaced at the machine shop or when people are rebuilding is that they can simply fall out once engine is on a stand and turned upside down as they arent held in once head is off. Enjoy your cam, you will love it, guranteed!
