New to this swift gti g13b engine. I'm having trouble finding a lower crankshaft timing gear.
I have a 87 suzuki samurai I'm wanting to swap this swift engine into.
I know I can use the water pump for the sawp..
Are the samurai gear and swift gti gear the same?
Any help is much appreciated

I am using the same set up, but I am running a MicroSquirt and using the oil pump and crank gear from a 2000 G13BB. It is a bit wider. The stock Samurai I am sure will work, the problem might be in the cogs of the belt. Some are square and some are rounded. as far as width, they're almost identical.

Are you going to use Moe's dizzy angle adaptor?

Your using the wrong engine in your swap and are Destin for disappointment .if your planing to take your rigs offroad or trail driving.
The G1.3b (GTi/GT 1989-94)
is a great engine for street cars because it live in the 3000-5500 RPM range.....
Rockcrawlers or low end torqy SOB
It will work but not the right application
I know I know everyone's doing it on the pirate 4x4 forums doesn't make it right

I'll be using mine in Sand dunes. With paddle tires eventually
Not sure what I'm going to due with the distributor. Maybe the Mazda cap if I can find one.
