I'm rebuilding a 01 Metro 1.3 engine and it has solid crank journals. The only 1.3 that I've worked on was a 93 Swift and the journals were hollow. Is this solid journal the same crank that would be in the twincam engine ?

they switched to solid around 98
my 2001 was also solid but casting is different from a dohc, don't know about the metal if it is forged or not...
i used this type of crank with turbo up to a lot of psi with no problems

What year did they go to steel main caps ? My 2000 engine has aluminum and the 2001 has steel which makes it a whole lot stouter.

Are you expecting to push over 200hp? Most builds with decently tuned setups won't push a g13 bottom end beyond its limits, they are awfully stout regardless of which crank they have or main cap style. I'm puzzling over the steel main caps, I don't think I've ever seen that, seems really odd to have an aluminum block with steel main caps? Line boring it that way would weird, with one material on half the hole and another on the other half.

Does The G13 DOHC have the steel caps ?

Im almost certain it has aluminum caps. I have never seen steel caps in a Suzuki engine, so I'm curious to hear that the 01 did, I have done hundreds of these engines but very few 00-01's, they didn't need rings or work very often, and simply just not many of the last couple model years were sold around here it seems.
The 98+ engines seemed to be "gt inspired" with somewhat heavier parts inside than the 1.3 sohc 8v 98-97 motors, but not quite as robust looking inside as the gt motors. From my experience I'd sure trust any of the bottom ends though, as long as they had oil they sure held up! I'd leave a 1.3 16v at 6500 rev limit all day and trust it.

Gti crank was forged 75.5mm stroke. (G13B twin cam)
G13A crank had 77mm stroke, hollow crank pins cast and half counterweights
G13BA crank had 75.5mm stroke, hollow crank pins cast and half counterweights
G13BB crank had 75.5mm stroke, solid cast with full counter weights
G10B crank had 61mm stroke, solid cast with full counter weights (like a mini G13BB)

As for main caps, I've seen hundreds of engines, all aluminium mains
Saw my first G13BB steel main cap engine yesterday, intel suggests 2000-2002 models had the steel caps, like a last generation revision before they went to K and M series use.

Well, I'm glad that someone else has seen these steel main caps so now I know that I'm not hallucinating.
