After rebuilding the alternator the IGN fuse immediately blows when the key to turned to the start position.

The car is a '96 Metro G10 five speed. I removed the wiring on the passenger side of the motor leading to the PCM. I did not find any shorts.

The wire harness that goes through the firewall just above the alternator rubs through on the top alternator bracket. It can be tricky to spot. Check it really closely and report what you find. First time I diagnosed that issue it was a bear to put my finger on
