I installed some apex brake pads front and rear about a year and a half ago when I did my gt brake swap. I had never heard of them before I purchased them through ebay. I forget the exact model I got, but they work great. No noise, chatter or anything undesirable from them. Low dust as well.

Priced around 50usd for front and rear they are a pretty good deal.
Ebay has many listings for different compounds currently. Ceramic, kevlar etc.

If it's time to do brakes you may want to check them out.

Anyone else tried these?

I think it's a good bang for the buck.

another update for a great product. if you need a brake job check these out.
been on for 2 years, minimal wear, and no noise whatsoever.

Any extreme braking / lockup tests done with these pads? How do they fade?

these pads were put on one of my daily drivers. mostly regular driving has been done. i am easy on the brakes, but i have locked them up a few times to see how they perform.
i have not experienced any fade. they bite good, not as good as a dedicated track pad though.
this is on a 92 swift with gt brakes, minus the gt proportioning valve.

the wear on these are minimal and they have around 15k miles. probably still have around 9mm left. as stated before no noise whatsoever and low dust.

Also went with the Apex Kevlar on my '89 GTi and they seemed to be a great product.
