just an issue i've noticed since installing mikes parts-exhaust fumes coming thru drivers window at all speeds (there are NO leaks) and its stinky!did not have this issue before these parts were installed.
more effort to apply brakes,just from lower vacuum from different cam/gear combo?have had to push really hard a few times to slow her down,thought i was f!!!ed at on point!
vac/boost shows 0 at cruise,9 psi boost,20 + vac when de-accelerating. more timing advance needed?
other than that,car pulls hard,runs great,no real difference in fuel mileage.

When was the last time you completely flushed the brake fluid on that car?

My Moms Turbofly, is around 0psi at cruise, and it's brakes are pretty responsive, I can haul it to a stop from 100kph, pretty easy.

Didn't you cut the Cat out? That would explain the stench, personally to me, it's why I spend $70 on a Magnaflow, lack of stench...

I got 18MPG in a 3cyl with a 5 speed manual 4dr, '93 Metro!

If you have 0 vacuum at cruise, you have something wrong.

no smell before mikes parts were installed;wife even notices the smell.still using same gas as before,but different oil than usual to break it in,quaker 5-30(my usual oil is penzoil,dont really know if its different than eachother,same parent company)smell wasnt there with or without cat

will double check vac at cruise,but even this morning i noticed almost no vac at cruise.havent really hit the highway yet,maybe only 80-90 around town.

not enough advance?dizzy is turned all the way,maybe move cam/belt one tooth advanced?car runs great as is.too much advance?

my garage is so full of s!@# and i'm pretty busy with work now(14 hrs/day 6days/week) just want to sit down and enjoy a beer before i fall asleep.that sucks.

Time for another complete fluid flush. Did you know it only takes 1 year for DOT3 to hit it's wet boiling point, 3 years for DOT4, 2 years for low viscosity DOT4.

brakes were ok before the cam/gear swap~reminds me of an old truck i had,b block/w lumpy cam-hardly no vac at idle,or power brakes.

if i get time this w/end i'll go for a highway drive,see where its all at.
