Anyone from B.C. or Alberta interested in an afternoon meet and greet at either Mt Robson or Jasper on Saturday or Sunday of the labor day long weekend?

No one in Edmonton or Red Deer or anywhere interested? Come on it's not going to cost you more than a few of bucks in fuel and a couple of meals. Mt Robson is a great place to get some good shots of our cars together.

Okay, so no-ones interested for labor day. Is anyone interested at any time before the weather gets too bad for a meet?

Anyone in BC/ Alberta want to set up a meet for this spring, summer or fall in 2014? I'm open for anything between here and 8 hours or so away. Which puts me in the Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton area. In the Rockies would be better for photo ops. Jasper, Banff, Mt Robson, the glacier highway, etc... My worst case scenario is I bring my 89 GTi auto. I'm open with advanced notice (the more, the better) for a long weekend event.

I haven't seen any regional meets for BC/Alberta since joining. There has to be a few of us who can meet up and at least crash the local A&W classic car meet and make those '50's and '60's Chevy, Mopar and Ford guys pissed  .

I used to drive from Med hat to Penticton once a month, bombing thru the twisty # 1 /#97 highways with my turbofly......driving fast, tunes turned way up.....

haven't been up the icefield parkway--Mt Robson-----P G area for a few years ---lots of family in P.G.---Burns Lake area......

last "visit" was for a funeral, and even then there was tension between some of the family.
Wife does not like winter driving/trips. like a backseat driver always telling you what to do
I have driven large trucks for numerous years, i have some driving skills :-P

I was in Grande Prairie earlier this year, and that's further north than PG.... :|

I smoked a moose just outside Grande Prairie last year. Totaled the work truck. That was an experience I don't want to repeat.

Any interest in a meet when the snow's gone? May through to September.

Well I can now see my cars. A couple of more weeks and I should be able to start pulling them out.

Adanac day weekend anyone? I'll have one of my cars ready by then. I could probably have my vert together enough to make May Day but would prefer Canada day. Any long weekend between then and remembrance day. By Nov 11th I don't think I'll see much snow but I have a set of GT winters if I need them.

I don't know if I can make May Day (I still have 30' of 16" deep snow/ice before I can get a car out) but July 1st should be do-able. I'll have something (be it vert or GT) on the road by then and I don't care where it is but Jasper and the surrounding area is pretty nice. Maybe a mid day trip to Mt Robson and back.

Anybody in for a meet on the July 1st weekend Mt. Robson to Jasper (or reversed) with an Icefield highway option if anyone is into a second day?

I'm going even if it's a solo trip because I'm itching for a drive that has nothing to do with work. I have my beater vert on the road now and I might have a GT on the road before then.

I'd love to have others join me (or is everyone in western Canada not willing to travel more than a few miles from home because they don't think their car will make the trip? :poke:).

At this point, wgotzman may show depending on a couple of things.
