Hi, I have a 2012 Suzuki Swift and there's one really annoying thing with the car and I assume this applies to all Suzukis with keyless locking. When I press unlock on the remote control once, only the driver's door unlocks and I have to press it once more to unlock the whole car. I wonder if this can be reprogrammed just for one pressing. I assume it should be possible because when I looked into an online owners manual

which seems to be a different version than the one that came with the car, there's nothing about having to press the button twice to unlock the whole car.
What does your suzuki swift do when you press unlock once?

It works as it should . 90% of time you are driving around alone , why would you want actuators in all doors working every time you are getting in and out of the car ? Not capable of pushing the button twice ??

Every mechanical assembly has limited life cycle , you want them to all break at the same time ?

Almost all factory keyless entry systems are set by default to operate the way you observed. One press for driver; second press for all doors. The settings can be changed but require you to have your suzuki dealer advise you of the sequence of steps if you don't have the owner manual.

The reason for this default setting is added security against car jacking.. you don't want all your doors unlocked if you are parked in a high crime area.

That's pretty standard, although it's usually switchable. On page 2-3 of the link you provided above, it says something like "this feature can be changed in the setting mode of the information display". They weren't referring to exactly what you're asking about, but that sounds like the place to go to look for what you want. It's often called "global unlock".

The vast majority of members here are from North America where the last Swift was 2001. We never got any features as fancy as this.
