I feel stupid asking this... I've got the downpipe disconnected and put aside, and I've got the 3 bolts that connect it to the exhaust manifold removed. The intake piping is removed. The turbo is just hanging there and I can't get it off! Can't see what's holding it on, what's the trick I'm missing here???

There is one little bracket to the block I think? And one coolant hose mounts to a bracket and can hang you up if I remember correctly.

I've been out of commission for the past few months and the car has just been sitting in my carport... finally about to start working on it again...

There must be a bracket behind it somewhere, but I can't find it!

Oil lines are off

Water lines are off

Exhaust downpipe is off

Intake pipe is off

Bolts from turbo to exhaust manifold are off

Turbo wiggles but still can't get it off... I wish I could find a diagram or picture or something showing what to look for, I've got a bad back and it's difficult to get down there!

Nevermind, I got it off. The motor mount was rubbing the turbo just enough to where it would not come off of the studs... removing the accessable motor mount bolts (and loosening the one behind the turbo) and then smacking the mount to the side a bit freed up the turbo and allowed me to pull it off.

Now it's time for my first ever attempt at rebuilding a turbo... wish me luck!
