Remove and replace
Drive axle 1989 Susuki Swift GTI (Pass side)

remove center axle nut with 30mm socket
loosen lug nuts 17mm socket
jack up car remove wheel

Tie rod remove cotter pin loosen nut 17mm .Hit tie rod arm with hammer tie rod should pop loose

remove two bolts on strut tower swing away wheel knuckle asmbly
.
.

.

Under Car pry axle out of axle carrier pull axle out
.
.

.

Install new Axle set larger end in carrier section push hard till you hear a snap verify that the axle is set in
the carrier

the other end place into the wheel knuckle asmmbly
.

.

place the two blot back into the strut
place the tie rod back into the tie rod arm tighten nut install cotter pin
Tighten the two bolt in the strut
hand tight the outer axle nut w washer
put tire back on hand tight lug nuts
let the car down
troq the axle nut to 75 LB and center punch nut inplace tighten lug nut to 50 lb

This is great guide, specially for the newbies.
I replaced my cv-joint not so long ago and the axle was so fixed to the carrier that I had to removed the whole thing from the gearbox. Even outside the car I couldn't get it off without hitting too hard...

You may want to consider separating the steering knuckle from the
lower ball joint rather than removing the 2 bolts that attach it to the strut.

There's a possibility that you disturb the alignment when you unbolt
it from the strut. Not much, since there's technically no adjustment
with those two bolts (there would be if you installed the offset
camber adjust bolts), but there is some play there and it's unlikely
that it will be re-assembled in the "exact" position. Not that it's
really that big a deal, cause it's not, but technically speaking
if you separate the knuckle it at the ball joint instead you virtually
eliminate any chance of disturbing the alignment.
