I have a headlight problem with my 1998 suzuki swift.

I am having issues with the daytime running light circuit. I first thought that the low beams went out in my car so I replaced the bulbs. my daytime lights still did not come on. Then the low beam lights stopped working. So i replaced the bulbs again. Now the low beams and the daytime lights do not work. I only have high beam light function and it only seams as if half of the bulbs are working, not as bright as they should be. I tried to trace the problem with my chiltons manual scematic and it shows a daytime running light module. I cant find this in any part store and before I replace this, I respectfully ask anyone if they have an idea about this before i spend a whole bunch of money.
I cant pass my texas state inspection until this is resolved. Can anyone help? Please?

the headlights are on a switched ground circuit. there is an open somewhere on one of the grounds from the lights to the fusebox, check that first. anything else someone else can answer.

Are the bulbs burned out? They will do that if you touch them while instahling them. Ex witch thought our old Caravan had a wiring problem after her man-child husband replaced passenger side 4 times!

I have similar problems with my headlights too. In fact, that's why I google'd this forum.

My low beams and high beams don't work except the high beam will work when I keep my hand pulling the high beam flasher.

I checked my fuses and the ones under the dash are fine. I went into the fusebox in the engine compartment and found that the 30A PTC (for early fuel evaporation) fuse was blown, so I replaced it. It blows again.

I checked the wiring at the fusebox under the and saw that one wire has turned brown. I pull out the connector and find that it's pretty much fried. I'm told this is a common problem, so check yours. It's the white and black wire in the corner closest to the left wheel in your fusebox under your dash.
