Ok so I have been having difficulties rolling my drivers side window up and down. I followed the directions in the thread about removing the window regulator and straightening the horizontal track. It was indeed bent and I took care of that. However, while I sliding the window back into place, I noticed that one of my issues is that it is very difficult for the window to slide in its track. The fabric lined track in the front and rear of the window are very tight and make it hard for the window to slide up and down. Does anyone know a way that I can make those slide easier? I don't know if I would somehow lube them or just use a screwdriver to widen them up or what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found on my 85 chevy sprint that the felt stuff was put in the track incorrectly.. There was a part of the felt that had a notch cut in it that was meant to be in the corner of the door. It was put in the door about i assume it was there, [it may have worked its way there] ..

jaguar,vettes&sprints pointed this out to me at the WestCoast Meet... He took out the felt stuff, re-inserted in the correct way and area.... No more trouble with the hard cranking.

This may be what you are having trouble with, also...And maybe not........

The rubber/felt channel liner thing can move in the track - I've had to reposition mine a couple of times and ended up cutting and repositioning it with a healthy dose of contact adhesive behind it to ensure there was no repeat of the problem.

fordem, The felt thing in my drivers door has slipped since the West Coast Meet when JVS fixed mine.... Looks like I have to glue mine in place also.....
