I am offering a custom "chip burning service" to Team Swift members.

I currently have OEM programs to base custom chips on for the following ECU's:

F3
F5
F6
I2
I3
I4
I6

I have fuel and timing maps from the following chips in my library:

Toms II*
"Sandro" 210/340*
SSGTI
Suzuki Sport (only works with Cultus MAF)
"Spanish Inquisition Racing" (what I run in my own car)

Choose any combination for $50, or build your own and send me the .bin and I'll do it for $35.

I do not make exact copies, but I can use any of these maps to build your custom chip and I'm also happy to send these files digitally to anyone interested in building their own or tuning with an emulator.

I am the only chip vendor I am aware of that sells chips that retain closed loop operation using your O2 sensor, if desired (recommended if you are not using a wideband).

*If you want Sandro's maps for I2 ECU or Tom's II for F5 with forced open loop, contact Swifty92, as he is still making these chips.

*If you have a chip or ECU that is not on this list, I may be willing to burn you a copy with changes for free if I don't have a .bin file for your OEM ECU or aftermarket chip.

I am (soon to be) based out of Kentucky, but I am willing to ship worldwide.

PM or email me at [email protected] for more information--and be patient, I am a hobbyist and not a large parts-vendor.

Interested in taking a crack at a turbo chip? I've ran a Garndi turbo eprom in the past and havent had much luck at getting him to reply the last couple times I've bugged him....

I don't yet offer turbo chips :(

That means someone that has one can get a free one made, with mods, if interested.

I'm not sure if I've made that clear enough in my description:

If you have a chip I don't already have in my "library", and you are willing to send it to me, I will send you a free chip.

If you prefer to have something different than what you have, that works too, but my goal is to collect as many tunes as possible.

Also, remember, if you want to design your own in Tunerpro, I'll send you files from my library to get you started even if you don't buy anything or send me anything. If more people tune the stock ECU and share their information, it helps all of us go faster. =)

Probably not, but...

What's the part number for your ECU? I don't think I can help you, but if you can tell me which ECU model it is I can do some research to see if the fuel and timing tables, rev limiter, or other parameters for that ECU are known. If so, it would be little more than a guess but I could increase the rev limit and mildly increase fuel and timing across the board.

YES!

I can make a Tom's II tune work without a CEL on any of the listed ECUs. PM me and I can get you hooked up.

are you able to tune for a 3 tech ported head and one of mikes largest cams and raise the rpm limit to 9000

Probably, but I'd try to convince you first that if you were shooting for 9000 anyway that 8600 is a better place to set the limiter and that 210/340 is your best choice for cams if you want a chip.

The reason is that, without access to the car to tune it, anything I do is a guess, and I have a better starting point if you build to a spec for which I already have a "known good" tune, i.e. strip, street and dyno proven. My advice to anyone that is planning fairly extensive mods is to get (borrow, rent, etc...) an emulator and wideband to tune their own vehicle using tunerpro. That's the right way to do it. Then send me the tune and I'll burn it for you so you can use the emulator/wideband setup to tune more vehicles, sell it, or whatever. I'm always available to help you get started tuning with an Ostrich.

Chips work better for people on a tight budget that either don't plan to do major modifications or are willing to build to a spec that is known to work well with a given tune, i.e. Tom's, Suzuki Sport, SSGTI, 210/340.

Thanks for the free bump, and please PM if you still want to go the chip route.

Oh I see. Hmmmm.

My recommendation on the Ostrich emulator stands--that can be done, but I'm less help because I don't have a G10 car (yet, it will happen eventually).

If you were interested in tuning with an Ostrich emulator and you find that you don't have the correct .bin file to start with (the rom from your chip) I'd be happy to pull it for you for free so you can get started with the emulator. Of course, once you have a tune you like, I'd love to get that .bin from back from you in return so I would have something to offer to other 3 cylinder customers. I'd burn you a free copy as well, of course

So many people want chips for non-G13B cars, and I'd like to help them, but I really can't do it on my own unless I own each of those cars. So I'll just have to get one of each 8)

Given that that is not likely for a long time, I would really love to help some of the folks with other motors get started with an emulator. Then we can share tunes by email and I can use the information to help out more 3cylinder and SOHC drivers.

Bump, pricing updated and clarified:

$50 for custom chip for any listed ECU using any known maps (see original post)

$35 to burn a .bin you send me.

Bigdog6933 and others:

I've gotten some interest in chips lately, but no commitments--I just want everyone to know I'll be away from my burner (it's not big, but a not a great thing to pack along with you  ) between August 25 and the 1st week of October. We'll be racing at SCCA Solo Nationals and then attending some training for my wife's work.

If you order in the next week or so I'll try to get anything I receive shipped before we leave, otherwise it will have to wait until Oct.

I have to find a second ECU for my '94 G10, it's got the updated emissions control systems, so it's got the black idle control motor, and I would really like to get rid of the EGR check and to raise the RPM limit to 8000 with the fuel cut set for 8600.

If I get a second ECU, do I just send it to you, or should I pull the chip?

Well maybe.

Definitely don't send me an ECU!

Depending on which ECU you have, you may not need to send me a chip either.

BUT

I haven't done any G10 chips yet because I don't have a car with a G10 in it to test them on

PM me and maybe we can work something out, though--in theory I do have the information I need to change the temp at which EGR becomes active (presumably I can select one it will never reach) and the rev limiter.

I'll probably need some help from you to make this work. A start would be to let me know what kind of chip they require, as I might have to special order some if they are not 27C256 like the g13b ECUs.
