my cars include a 95 2 door metro 1.3l, 95 BMW M3(soon to be supercharged), and 93 civic turbo

i have strut bars for civics only right now, but if i can have a car for a week i can make strut bars you your car for just the cost of materials. then i can make a jig out of that and offer them here too. a front and rear 2pt strut bar set would run about $40 in steel and both of them together would only weigh about 4lbs. here is an example of what i can do in my car

Mine is the same style as your 95 metro, how much would the front and rear top strut bars cost. Combined and seperately.

and i could do a combo of the 2 for $100 plus shipping.
i can paint these any color. i do have 3 generic colors of blue like whats in the pics, red and black. i can match any car color for an extra fee depending on the color

i am going to try for also having a 3pt front and 4pt rear, possibly tieing into the c pillar at the seatbelt mounts. i havent looked into mine too much yet to see what kinds of mounting options there are. i will be working on it quite a bit next week though so we will see what i come up with

Excellent price, I will probably be looking at picking both up. In blue, can only have so much red on my car lol.

Oh and if you want, the name of the colour for the swifts is victory red, started with 95, I believe.

There isn't a whole lot of options in the back end of a swift for mount points. Mine has two cargo strap lock downs installed directly below the hatch opening. So without actually hacking open plastic...



Unless when I was patching my rear fender I missed something. But then again, it's not like I was paying attention to how a strut bar could mount.

Do you happen to know how much each bar would weigh?

I see most bars using tubular instead of your square metal. I assume the square is just easier to make? What do you make your bars out of?

Can we get a shot of your front brace work? Maybe on your geo? Helps to let me know where it all will be running.

If you need any measurements to make sure it'll clear the injected style of engine instead of the carb'd one(although I do believe the carbed one takes up alot more area). I'd be glad to help.

i really dont know the weight. the rear x-brace on my civic weights 8lbs so im sure the 2pt front and rear for the geo would be less than that. my geo parts are unfinished right now but they have moved up on the priority list. so i really dont have any pics. i am sure if it will fit in my car than it will fit with any other engine combinations that i have seen on here.

the reason i use the square steel is cause it is easier to weld with a mig welder and i can get it really cheap. as sales improve i will buy a tig welder and possibly move to tubular bars, but i personally like the square.

as far as where it will be running, i plan for it to be as high as possible without hitting the hood of course and be pretty much a straight line right in front of the brake reservoir

Hmm... Sounds good.

Yeah I don't suppose that the bars will come in contact with any torsional forces that would twist square tubing up.

Let me know when you have it ready. I'll 95% for sure atleast buy the front.

i will do my best to get quite a bit done tonight. this business is starting life as a side project after my normal day job. i hope within a year i can quit my job and be full time which will allow me to do a lot more with making parts. also, i looked around the car some yesterday and i really dont see any foctory mounting points to do anything other than the standard 2pt braces. i dont see anything else being added to my strut bars, but i do see other places for bars so stay tuned for a lot of new parts for the geo's soon that should make them handle way better

P.S. dont let the side project thing scare you away. i am putting in a full effort to make this business grow and i can ship directly from where i work so no delays

One word... for the rear bar if possible, have it hug up next to the back of the back seat. I know it'll add some fabbing due to having to use several pieces of steel. I've seen a few pictures of rear bars that fire straight across and really kill access to the back trunk. This is a no-no for me and probably alot of other people as well.

Remember they were built as econoboxes. There is always room for improvement with them.

hopefully pics will be soon. i picked up argon for my welder last night but i cant get my geo close enough to my welder right now due to this and no engine in the car

the engine should be back in end of this week or sometime next week. then i will get to working on the strut bars

The front strut brace for a Nissan Skyline R32 is a direct fit to a mk 1. All's you need to do is grind out the holes that mount over the strut turret about 1 mm.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.HP is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how much you push the wall out.

skyline parts are a little tough for us to find here in the states. thats good info though. i know a lot of the skyline parts will swap to the nissan 240sx so maybe the 240sx strut bars will work also. something to check

sorry about the delay on strut bars. my roomates truck lost a brake line and he is having a tough time getting it fixed, it is stuck inthe only area i have where i can weld. i have way too many things to do to help him so hopefully he will have it fixed today and then strut bars will be going into production
