So I put my 95 (G10) Metro on craigslist this week and didn’t get any responses from it. I had listed at the lowest price I was willing to let it go for and discovered that unless I’m willing to give it away it’s going to be around for a while… I was wanting to get something with more power. So since it looks like I am going to keep it I was wondering if anybody wanted to chime in on what opinions they had. I really would love to find a G13B, however these are getting harder and harder to find. Has anyone tried swapping a G13BB? I would like to be able to keep this next project under 2k. Sound realistic? I think this will be my 2017 summer project. I did put a lot of work into this car. I’m happy with how it looks now. I just need to be able to launch it from time to time. Thanks!

G13bb swap would be easy enough with a donor car if you can round one up. You would be happy with performance of it after. It would be quicker with your g10 trans as it has great ratio in it, and if you sprung for a 3tech cam while doing the swap you would have a surprisingly quick car when finished. The difference between a g10 and a g13bb in the mk4&5 body is huge, they are just a bit heavy for the g10 to push around in any hurry

A $2,000 budget should get you into a MK5 Metro already with a G13BB ready to roll. The challenge is to find a hatchback with the G13BB and a 5 speed. I blame Chevy dealers for assuming that only the 3 cylinder buyers wanted a 5 speed.

1998-2001 Suzuki Swift hatchback versions only came with the G13BB, so manuals are more common if you aren't shopping for Metros.

Awesome news. I have been trying to find a good write up for the swap on the forum. Since I put about 2k into the body already I need to go the swap route... In fact I may have located my donor car today!
