On Wednesday my son had a serious accident and the AWD sedan is no longer. He is ok and only has a broken metacarpal (hand bone), broken toe some seatbelt bruising otherwise ok

Amazing for a car that is this old and a guy that is 6'5" and 140kg and he got away quite well

Have to work out what the insurance is going to do - if we can get the wreck back or it will turn up in the wreck auctions (and how bad the damage is to gearbox etc) - but it is definitely a write off so hopefully something can be done with the rare parts - quite a bit of interest as this is used for the stronger gearbox and AWD parts.

Wow. . Glad he is okay.. it looks like the impact just missed the passenger compartment. It appears that all the glass is intact.

I would guess that the transmission case bore a great deal of the crash energy.. look forward to your parts salvage assessment.

Thanks for sharing the survival story. Bones should be all healed up by now I hope. I'm interested what kind of car your boy is in to now.
