Hi there Peoploids and Swiftoloids! Perhaps this tidbit could be of interest, nothing much really. But I thought that I would share.
My 94 Geo Metro 3 cylinder with XFi cam and 4 cylinder final drive needed 4 new speakers. After dismantling it and repainting it, one speaker was found blown, so it never did work, another had oil on it, because up here in Canada, shooting a car with oil stretches itr's longevity and the last one, under the dash was pretty much dried up. Paper cones will do that I "hear". I found a place called Sonic electronix that carried the Sony 4 inch WC 4021, that would be good for me. As I feared the splicing and connecting, I didn't want to connect anything wrong, I purchased the wire adapters from Metra. The pictures on Sonic's site are quite misleading though for my vintage Geo. Even those for the Swift didn't look like anything I had. The Nissan-Mitsubishi looked like the connectors in my car. I gambled, bought two pairs and they were a perfect match ! 15 minutes with a screwdriver and now the sound is absolutely terrific. I'm mostly into classical and rock, love country also. The original radio with cassette is still in place and delivers the goods. Last note, the service of Sonic was second to none as I modified my order some 20 minutes later and when I phoned, I was taken care of warmly.
