Guys,

Realizing that my weatherstrip that goes under the rear quarter windows was, well...weathered. I removed them. The old adhesive is stuck to the car's body...seems to be an automotive grade 2 way tape that is now really hard and stubborn to come off. Is there any solvent I can use to soften it so that I can scrape it off with a a knife, that won't damage the body paint?

Use a heat gun to soften the tape and scrape off as much as you can with a plastic putty knife. Any glue left after that should come off with laquer thinner and a rag.
