So according to my research the oil pumps from the G16 engines have more flow than the ones from the G13 engine, but could somebody tell me how they differ physically from each-other? I've a few spare oil pumps in the garage, but I'm not sure which one is from what engine...
Also, do you guys know if the oil pumps from the G13 engines were the same for SOHC and DOHC models?

The 1.6 pump has wider "gears" with a different tooth profile.
The turbo3, SOHC, and DOHC all have different width gears in their pumps.
I'll try to show some pics tomorrow.

According to my research the 1.6L pump should look like this:

So that's settled.

But what about the 1.3L pumps? Is there a way to see the differences between the DOHC and SOHC models?

I didn't have a 1.6 pump in my tickle trunk, as they liely got used on 1.3's, but there was a bunch of 1.3 pumps in there. They all look the same on the outside, it's just the width of the gears that is different. I recall the GTI one has 9.5 mm wide gears.

Thanks, I'll disassemble them when I get a change. I hope I have the Gti models...
