Anybody have poly bushes on their sway-bar drop-links?? The ones I picked up from Rospen don't fit snugly on the drop-link like I think it should. There is about .5mm-1mm play when you slide them over the shaft. I don't know if they sent me the wrong ones meant for perhaps a newer GTi with larger end-links (if there is such a thing), or if this is normal and when it is all bolted together, it is supposed to be how it takes up the slack.<br><br>If anyone has come accross this on their GTi let me know. I also picked up a front caster offset bushing/shim kit, larger rear bar +bushes, off-set outer D bush for rear control arm... The others have gone ok, minus these end-links.<br>I'll have a page up on the install of them all once I finish putting it on. Whathee did you buy your bushings from Whiteline ? Anxious to hear how it changes the handling. <p></p><i></i>

I picked them up from Rospen... although if you are ordering the rear bar, Rospen is not the best option. I personally would encourage people to go to Whiteline. The rear bar I have is good, but the shipping costs they added on was ridiculous. The shipping cost calculator that Whiteline has says over $100 cheaper than what Rospen charged me. Not sure if they just marked up my shipping, or sent it out in a funny way, but lesson learned. My impressions in the mean-time will only be from the 'street'.<br><br>I had the car out with just the large rear bar + rear bushes... the difference is noticed in the first corner. The roads are gravelly from recent snow, and I have crap tires on, but the difference is day + night. I feel confident in entering and leaving the corner faster than before, and the front tires are not lifting up like before. This bar + rear bushes should do well for lap times. <br><br>As for the fronts- the front bushes I already have installed on a set of spare control arms. All I need to do is pop off the lower balljoint, sway bar (bushes get changed anyways), and bolts on the body and swap them over. I think the main difference coming from having more caster will be noticed at the track under very heavy cornering. However, even turn-in and stability should be better as my stock bushings were old, crushed, and falling apart. Anything new/stiffer will be bound to hamper my judgement. <br>----<br><br><br>Summarize- the rear goodies have been worth it so far. I expect the front to be worth it, but show itself more at the track. <br><br>I was talking to someone else on here via email and he mentioned the rear bar on the 92+ is 19mm.. Is the newer bar that much bigger? My 89 was like 14 or 15mm... I'm curious because adding parts from same model line of car is usually allowed without points taken for racing. Kyle,<br>Where did you get the bushings for the rear control arms?<br>I am installing H&R springs, Koni adjustable shocks, Whiteline larger rear sway bar, front control arm bushing kit and the camber bolt kit. <p></p><i></i>

About the rear poly bushings, do these come with the stock position to maintain the stock geometry or do they have the offset hole like the front ones from Whiteline?<br>Also has anyone thought about "boxing in" the rear control arms? The factory did weld in some sheet metal but it looks like a little more would be helpful. <p></p><i></i>

Kyle, regarding the bushings on the drop links,for street use the fit on the drop links is probably not that critical. After 2 months suspension development with multimatic my view changed. The bush really should be snug when torqued down if its not the response will be poor. Another suggestion when fitting the suspension to the car is to let the car down on all 4 tires with the weight of the driver in the seat, then torque all suspension points, not when the thing is on the hoist as this tends to bind bushings and they will not work properly. Good point, I didn't have a driver, but suspension was on ground. Yah over tightening the bushings will prematurely ejaculate..er...wear out the bushings and cause the suspension to perform poorly. Like its over sprung but usally only on one corner...just imagine putting in different rate springs on either side of the car...spooky handling comming up!!<br><br>Hey whats the address/phone number for the whiteline bushings from Rospen? Hey kyle,Where can i get the bushings that go to the control arm (the one you have pictured and quote"A picture of the bushing after it was hammered out,,,explains itself"I was sent a "full set"from Select Sales,but that wasnt included.All i got was the 4 big bushings and swaybar bushings.I bought some other poly bushings that i might be able to use but i would have to double them up in length( and cut,,maybe)Do you have the dimentions of the replacements so i could match it up ,,or order the real replacement.Whiteline is too confusing for the bushing "department" and rospen i dont think have it <p></p><i></i>

The circular bush is part of the caster kit from Rospen or Whiteline. Not sure if they sell it outside the caster kit, but they may. Be sure to write your experiences with the kit after. I have had the Whiteline "The Works" package installed. My laptimes have jumped from 1:20:2 at Wakefield to 1:17:2<br>My Swift is stock, and I had the upper strut brace fitted. My rear swaybar already being 19mm was left alone. The laptimes both times were on Yokohama A032R.<br><br>The feel of the car was phenomenal over standard. The inside front wheel remains on the ground much longer during cornering. I have not played with the Koni settings yet and I have no idea what they are set at right now. Is there a noticeable increase in vibrational intrusions to the passenger compartment using poly control arm bushings vs. the stock rubber ones?

ok people here goes and before anyone says it im not being lazey.
i cant seem to work out the part numbers for all these bushes below.
my gti is 1990 stock rear antiroll bar and dont plan on changeing it.
im planning on buying from whiteline so those are the part numbers im after.
pls help
